Celebrate Recovery, May 18
Celebrate Recovery provides a safe place for individuals to begin their journey of breaking out from their bondage and into God's grace (II Corinthians 12:9), by helping them to start dealing with their life's hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
We'll meet each Friday evening at 5:45p in the Garage at the church.
GAP Cookie Baking, May 18
Come bake something delicious with us at 6:30p! GAP is baking cookies to help replenish the Guest Ministry's cookie supply. Cookie dough is provided or bring your own. Can't wait to see you there for some baking fun!
Jesus Day 2012, May 19
On Saturday from 8a-1p, Restoration Urban Ministries will be hosting their annual Jesus Day event. Volunteers are needed to help with food distribution, clothing distribution, kids' activities, and prayer. To come and help, mark the tear-off card on your bulletin or call the church office, 359.2122, to let us know where and when you would you'd like to serve.
Sunday Action, May 20
WRCC and the local ministry Sunday Action will be hosting a free community feast at Windsor Road. Come to dinner with fellow WRCCs, believers from other churches, and many others from our community. To attend, call the church office, 217.359.2122.
GAP Game Night, May 25
GAP, the WRCC young adult group, is having a game night from 6:30p until midnight. Free childcare is provided from 6:30-8:30 p.m. We have all sorts of games for all sorts of people! Empty Arms Ministry, June 7
Empty Arms Ministry is a grief support network established by two moms who have experienced infant loss. We aspire to provide understanding and compassion to parents who have suffered the loss of a baby through miscarriage, still birth and infant death.
We invite grieving parents, their adult family members and friends to learn more about the grieving process, to grow through experience and share in each others lives.
We meet at the church from 6:00p - 7:30p, in room 303, on the first Thursday of each month. For additional information, please contact the church office, 217.359.2122.
