Celebrating Advent means being able to wait and waiting is an art that our impatient age has forgotten. We celebrate Christ’s incarnation—his taking on flesh for the sake of our love and salvation. We light the first candle of Advent, the candle of hope. It’s been said that hope is the confident expectation of a guaranteed result that changes the way we live.
