Jonah 1:1-6

For example, why does the book of Jonah tell how he ran away, where he went, his interaction with the sailors, and his preciseĀ words inside the fish? Why does the king of Nineveh respond in such an unexpected manner? Why is the Lord merciful to people who do violence and evil? And, how does God respond to me when I disapprove of his actions?
