Psalm 63
Sometimes wild and harsh circumstances can yield rich heavenly nourishment. In David’s desert, he discovered the God who clings to him. In the barrenness of his situation, David found soul satisfaction in the Lord of “fat and fatness”. David received assurance that God would deal with all his enemies. David remembered his own calling as Israel’s king. The desert did that to David. Could it do that to us? Press on and pray hard!
