Outreach Ministry Volunteer Team

We want to share God’s love with others within WRCC and out in our community. Volunteering is one of the best ways to connect with others and make a real impact toward our vision of becoming a life-changing community, passionately pursuing Christ. Below are the different opportunities available in Outreach Ministry, please note that some require registration.

ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES

Food Pantry Donations

Our Food Pantry continues to be a blessing to our community, and you can play an ongoing role in this vital ministry. We accept donations M-Th 9am-4pm and on Sunday mornings.

Suggested donations: gluten-free & dairy-free products, low-salt & no-salt products, baby formula, diapers, personal hygiene products, and household cleaning products.

Food Pantry: Prep & Organize

Tuesdays | 5-6:30pm | Audience: Everyone

We need volunteers who are willing to help move inventory from our storage room and stock shelves to prepare for our weekly Community Shopping days. Grab a friend, your kids, or if you have spare time on your own, please come and lend a hand!

Email Michelle Santiago your group (National Honor Society, Girl Scouts Troop, etc) that would like to come regularly to volunteer!

Eastern IL Foodbank Delivery

When: 1st & 3rd Thursdays
11am | Audience: Adults

We receive hundreds of pounds of food each month and need helping hands to handle the delivery. If you can lift and carry boxes, or help organize shelves, please consider volunteering.

Serve at Thursday Community Shopping

Thursdays | 2:30-6:30pm
Audience: Everyone

Our Food Pantry is open to shoppers from our congregation & community each Thursday from 4-6pm, you can serve during any of these shifts:
2:30-3:30pm – restock, organize, set-up
3:30-5pm – assist shoppers
5-6:30pm – assist shoppers, clean-up

Serve at 1st Saturday Community Shopping

1st Saturdays | 11am-3pm
Audience: Everyone

Visitors from our community will be able to select items from our food pantry from 12-2pm, two shifts are available:
11am-1pm – prayer, set-up, assist shoppers
1-3pm – assist shoppers, clean-up, prayer
