Ministry
We are grateful to partner with many individuals and organizations, both locally and around the world. Our missionaries are long-term partners we support financially on a quarterly basis. Other partners include individuals and organizations who we support in diverse ways including financial support, food pantry, Bibles, and volunteers on an as-needed or short-term basis. For specific information on who we support as a church, select each below.
We want to share God’s love with others within WRCC and out in our community. Volunteering is one of the best ways to connect with others and make a real impact toward our vision of becoming a life-changing community, passionately pursuing Christ. April 18-25, 2026 | Cost: $2,200 | Max: 10 participants
Trip Leader: Harold Yoon
Participants will partner with GO Ministries in providing basic medical services through popup clinics in communities with limited access to healthcare. No medical experience necessary to be part of this team.
July 14-28, 2026 | Cost: $4,000 | Max: 7 participants
Trip Leader: Corinne Kohler
Participants will provide direct medical services to women and girls in the Eldoret regions. This trip is limited to women who are medical and allied health professionals or students.
1st Sundays, Sep-Dec | 10:45am-12pm | Rm 106 | Mature Teens & Adults
Join us once a month to pray over our local missionaries and community partners, and hear
their updates and ministry wins. We’ll also pray over the current events in the Champaign-Urbana community. Lastly, we’ll use this time to plan and prepare for local events and initiatives outside the church walls.
Sunday, Sep 7th | 3-7:30pm | Hessel Park
International Friendships, Inc. (I.F.I.) is hosting a picnic to extend hospitality and friendship to about 125-200 new international students & their families. You can bring pre-listed food items (list supplied), assist with set-up and clean-up, visit with students, and/or join them in outdoor games. Through building friendships with the students during their time here, we have the opportunity to "go into all the world" from right here in our own community!

November | The Foyer
Throughout the month, we’ll be collecting new and gently used toys and books (valued at $10 or less) that will be used in our Free Food Store, allowing shoppers to select items for children in their household. You can place your donations in the Outreach collection area in The Foyer throughout the week or on Sundays.

Our mission teams will be selling homemade pies, perfect for the holidays, so stop by after services to purchase yours. The funds raised will go towards our short-term mission trips happening in 2026. Pie varieties and prices will be announced in November, so stay tuned.

Thanksgiving can be a lonely time for many people, especially for international students and academic professionals who don’t have many connections in the states. We’re hosting a game night dinner to provide a space of hospitality, fellowship, and celebration for our international community. Bring a game and a desire to have fun and connect with others outside our church family.
